I have a challenge for you. Go and find me a singer in heavy metal today with more of a range than Stu Block. I highly doubt you will. His vocal range is one of the many things that makes "The Scattering of Ashes" one of the most original power/death/progressive whatever you want to call it metal releases in years!!

Lets face it with the exception of 3 Inches of Blood most power metal reeks of cheese!!! Goofy Keyboard, hackey lyrics, crinkled hair,Dragonforce!!! But Into Eternity takes the best of power metal, mixes it with the best of death metal and add in some amazing progressvie instrumentation without being too over indulgent!! Take the track "Timeless Winter" for exapmle its all over the place with groove filled death metal, then the chrous kicks in and Block hits a falsetto so high it would bring Rob Halford to his knees!! Every track is a mini epic that keeps you hooked and wanting for more!

If your a fan of old school death or power metal this album is for you. It shows you dont have wacky keyboard solos, a corny name or a Spongebob video with your song pasted in it to be cool. Into Eternity has it all and they already showed the Megadeth crowd and they'll be blowing away Dream Theater all summer long. Support this band and check this album out
